Docketbook collects limited information about you

As part of using the service we collect profile information including username, first name, surname, phone number and or email address. We also collect information about your business including address information, materials or services provided.

The Docketbook mobile applications collect GPS data while the app is running for the purposes of geo-tagging the line items and other interactions recorded on a docket.

We may collect information about how you use our service in order to provide support and improve our products.

Docketbook is a connected system. To connect with your customers and suppliers we collect information about those companies including address and email. We may receive information about your company or about you from other Docketbook users. This is used for the purpose of sending dockets and inviting users to join Docketbook.

How we Store and Protect your information

We use third party hosting providers (Google Cloud Platform), to store data for the service. Data is stored on servers located in Australia.

We collect credit card information using security-enabled, pass-through to our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and we take all reasonable precautions to protect it from unauthorised access. Data transferred between you and our web services is protected by SSL encryption is stored on secure servers. However, no security system is impenetrable and we cannot give an absolute assurance that your information will be safe at all times. Transmission of personal information over the Internet is at Your own risk and You should only enter, or instruct the entering of, personal information to the Service within a secure environment.

In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, Docketbook will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Your username and password are important parts of our security scheme. It is your responsibility to keep your user credentials safe. If you become aware of any misuse of your account, change your password immediately using the ‘Your Account’ area of our product.

How we share your information

We may share your personally identifiable information with Third party services that we use to provide support, analytics, archival, legal, business consulting or other services. In particular we collect user information in Intercom for the purposes of providing support and onboarding new users.

Docketbook will not disclose your information to a third party, including related parties, unless you have provided your express consent. Docketbook may be required to disclose your personal information without our consent in order to comply with court orders or other legal processes. Where possible, we will notify you if we are required by law to disclose your personal information.

Your choices about your information

You can maintain certain account information and communication preferences through the my account area of Docketbook. You may also opt out of communications managed through Intercom by selecting unsubscribe. We may continue to contact you in relation to issues relating directly to your account and billing.

We keep certain information about you after your account has been closed because docket transactions shared with other parties contain your name and account email.

Please contact us if you wish to close your account and expressly delete this information. We will make good faith efforts to delete your personally identifiable data if it is not required by legitimate business purposes, or otherwise by law.

Docketbook uses cookies

In order to provide a functional service, Docketbook utilises a commonly leveraged tool known as “cookies”. These are small files that our servers will send to your browser when you login and use our products. This file contains no personally identifiable information about who you are or the companies that you work for. The randomised contents are used to prove the identity of both you and the device you are currently using. Only our infrastructure has access to the information required to correlate this information and subsequently identify you and your device.

We also use third party products to assist in providing support and managing our service. These other services also utilise cookies of their own for the same purposes.

It is possible to either be notified or otherwise block these cookies depending on how your web browser is configured. Please be aware that in doing so, it is likely that our services will be rendered unusable.

We do not respond to or honour “Do Not Track” requests at this time.

Connecting to Third Party Applications

The service provides the ability to integrate with third party services and transfer data, including your personal information to and from third party applications. Docketbook does not take responsibility for the practices employed by third party websites or services. Your interactions with those services are subject to that party’s own rules and policies.
